Top of the day to you!
Last night I was invited out to an unusually great place to eat. And of course
it was my favorite ethnic food = "Italian"! It was called BUCA di
Beppo. Well it was nothing short of a blast. The food was delicious, the ambiance
was awesome and the service was impeccable!
But the people who took me there were watching all the pasta coming out and
asked me if there was a healthier way of eating pasta if they were going to
eat it at a restaurant.
And before I go on, let me make a suggestion. The only acceptable Starches
I would recommend would be Rice, Millet, Yams, Carrots and Beets. Pasta and
other refined starches are a real bear on the body, but if you're going to eat
pasta, eating pasta at home is always best as you can select a good one at a
health food store so you can be in total control of the quality of it. But here's
a healthier way of eating Pasta when you eat out.
Never use Tomato or Cream Sauces on them. Here's a very good way to eat them
to allow for a good combination. I am going back to BUCA di Beppo's to eat so
I will ask for their String Beans as a side dish and get the Linguini with Garlic,
Olive Oil and Basil! Then they had a Beans and Greens dish that was great. And
of course their Broccoli was good with what we had, so I can have that with
the starch meal.
OK, So let's make this simple: The Pasta of your choice (No Cream Sauces or
Tomato Sauces) with Garlic, Olive Oil and Basil and no more than 3-4 Vegetables
other than the Fruit Vegetables such as Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Okra, Squashes,
and Bell Peppers! Sounds strange doesn't it, especially when you've been eating
it this way all these years. But this would make for an incredibly well combine
meal for optimum digestion
especially when refined starches are already
tough to digest.
Bottom line, NO MEATS, CHEESES, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Okra, Squashes, and Bell
Peppers with Pasta!
Enjoy and wait till next week when I share with you a CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE! It's
a slam-dunk I'll grant you!

PS Just got to thinking about a positive thought that came through to me today
and felt you might like this one. Being healthy is such a gift. When you get
older, even going to the bathroom a time or two a day in itself is deluxe.
My biggest encourage to you would be to eat good stuff so you'll always be
tough. I am always amazed at folks who have a time with it but will meticulously
shine that car. What's the big deal here, we have to eat anyway, so why NOT
make it the best? I don't have to teach people how to eat; they are already
doing a pretty good job of it. All we need to do is change the stuff! Sounds
easy enough to me.
The Courage To Start Separates Dreamers From Achievers.
-------------------------------------
Your difficulty and the difficulty of every individual, who ever desired to
achieve anything worthwhile, comes in the movement. (No pun intended, even though
as my friend Dr. Frank Sabatino would say, "There needs to be a church
called 'The Church of the Immovable Bowel' as it's real problem and we would
fill the pews.")
Don't always be intending to live a new life, but never find the time to begin
living it. Most people fail because they never get started. They don't go. They
don't overcome inertia. They don't begin.
Begin to free yourself at once by doing all that is possible with the means
you have. As you proceed in this spirit the way will open for you to do more.
The worst thing you can do is not to try.

Best to you and you know I answer your questions so when something is troubling
you with your health, I'm here for you!
