Top of the day to you.
I know you are probably thinking, "I hate Okra"! I used to turn my
nose up at it when I ate it cooked. It was always a slimy bunch of glop! One
day I just tried a piece of one RAW and I've never cooked it ever since. It
was absolutely delicious. Give this recipe a shot. You'll be glad you did and
surprised at how great you'll feel after it.
Anytime you eat your food as close to being raw as you can, you'll get so much
more good out of it than you ever could cooked. I've included so many cooked
recipes over the years as that's what most of my requests have been called for.
But I try to include some raw ones in the mix, as it's really the best way to
prepare food.
And if you eat most of your food raw, you'll be amazed at all those aches and
pains how they'll disappear like the dickens. Actually this is one of the ways
I always get better if I find myself suffering a bit from an ache of some sort.
I think back on what I ate and evaluate the situation and I can always trace
it back to something I ate. So then I'll eat nothing cooked for a few days or
so and bingo, I'm right back to normal again. It's been a lifesaver for me for
several decades now.
INGREDIENTS:
One Pound of Fresh Raw OKRA
Two Whole TOMATOES
Two Yellow Summer SQUASH
Two Stalks of CELERY
One Zucchini SQUASH
One Red Bell PEPPER
One CUCUMBER
Four Ounces of whole WALNUTS
In a large Salad Bowl, cut up into small pieces the Raw Okra. Then in your
Blender or VITA MIX (www.vitamix.com/household (use code AMC1 for discount)) blend up (adding NO
WATER WHATSOEVER) in this order, the TOMATOES; Both SQUASHES, RED BELL PEPPER;
CELERY & CUCUMBER for no more than 20-30 seconds! Then pour this mixture
over the cut up Raw OKRA! Top the soup with 4 ounces of the fresh WALNUTS!
This is so quick and so delicious. Doesn't sound like much in the way of filling
you up, but this is a winner at our house. Enjoy the holidays and I'll be in
touch once again around Christmas! I have something special for you for the
New Year.

PS If you got twisted up into my address book by mistake once again then please
hit reply and ask to be deleted and I will surely do that for you. I had to
completely restructure my computer and a lot of strange things took place and
I only hope I didn't get the wrong addresses twisted back into the database.
I am totally grateful for your patience. Happy Holidays.
