"YAMS, BEETS & CARROTS"
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Red Garnett Yam (Not sweet potato if you can get the Yam)
- 1 Whole Fresh Beet
- 2 Good Sweet Carrots
- 1 tsp. fresh chopped Parsley
- 1 tsp. fresh chopped Basil
- 1 quarter tsp. of Sea Kelp
- 1 ounce of cold pressed Canola Oil
Wash the YAMS, BEETS & CARROTS! Bring the one half inch of Distilled Water
in a cooking pot, that has a vegetable steamer in it, to a boil then let simmer
and put the YAMS, BEETS & CARROTS in it for 1 hour. Then shut the stove
off and come back to it when you want to. Put the YAMS, BEETS & CARROTS
on a dish and cut the Beet and Carrots in bite size pieces then open the Yam
and pour the Canola Oil over it and top with the mixture of the herbs. I am
amazed at how many people who tell me they hate Beet or Yams, but when they
come to my house and try this, it becomes a staple in their diets. Enjoy this
and it's a very low Glycemic Index for that lasting fuel supply!
