Top of the day to you
I could hardly wait to write you
today. I just got back from the final day of probably the best athletic competition
I've seen in years. It was the final day of the World Lifesaving Competition that
had 38 countries represented. But when I got home as it's raining like the dickens,
I made one of my favorite recipes for this time of year because it's so fast,
easy, cheap and gives you energy galore. Check this one out and as I started to
say, I am so excited to share something that is so incredibly delicious and highly
nutritious with you this week. All of my recipes get a lot of great feedback,
but this one is superb to say the least. I'd like to hear from you with this one.
INGREDIENTS:
4 ears of Sweet Corn (Preferably the White Variety for the Flavor)
1 pound of fresh Green Beans
1 small Summer Squash
One quarter teaspoon of Sea Kelp
One quarter teaspoon of Basil
THE RECIPE:
In a cooking pot, put the washed String Beans in one quarter cup of Distiller
Water along with the one quarter teaspoon of Sea Kelp and one quarter teaspoon
of Basil. Bring to a boil and immediately shut the stove off. Let it sit for
another 3 minutes.
Cut the corn of the cob, and then put it in a salad bowl. Now take the cooked
String Beans and put everything including the water and herbs it cooked in into
your blender or vitamix www.vitamix.com/household (use code AMC1 for discount) and blend it up for about
1-2 minutes.
Now pour this whole mixture over the Corn and garnish with some grated Summer
Squash! I swear, this is so doggone good, I'm actually hooked almost like a
junky. It's something that is so easy and so energizing that it will jump a
holler
"Boy Howdy!" :>)
When I was watching the competition for it's final day today, (which by the
way, was the only time this World Lifeguard Competition was ever held on American
Soil) I spoke with quite a few athletes about how tenacious they are about their
eating habits. Almost every one of the winners said they have to eat the best
as a part of being the best.
So I guess that's what I would like to leave you with this week is that in
order for us to be the best we need to ALWAYS DO OUR BEST.
It is your constant effort to be first-class in everything you attempt that
will help you conquer the heights of excellence. Make it your rule of living
to do your best.
Let superiority be your trademark. Do a little more each day than you think
you possibly can. There is always a best way of doing everything, find it. Do
a little more then average and from that point on your progress multiplies itself
out of all proportion to the effort you put out.
Do more then you're supposed to do and you can have or be or do anything you
want.
True greatness comes from being great in little things. To enjoy enduring success
you should travel a little in advance of the rest of the world. Eat good stuff
and you WILL always be tough. It's a natural law much like if we jump out of
a 10-story building; we are not going to go Northeast.
All my very best to you.
